A happy day!

Hi everyone! Last week my brother and his girlfriend got married. Of course I had to make a card for them for this special occasion.

I decided to use the Merry kisses stampset from Neat and Tangled. The two foxes look so sweet togheter.

First I took a piece of Neenah 80 lbs cardstock and cut out a circle with a stitched circle die. I colored the circle with Spun sugar distress ink. Then I took another piece of Neenah 80 lbs cardstock and a piece of white fun foam and die cut a stitched circle out of them at the same place as I did on the first piece of cardstock.

I adhered the fun foam between the pieces of cardstock. Then I glued the pink circle in the opening.

I stamped the foxes with Memento Tuxedo black ink, colored it with copic markers and fussycut it. On the noses of the foxes I put a lil drop of Black enamel accent.

In my stash I had some little hearts in different sizes. I colored them with an R81 copic marker and adhered them on the card front. To finish the card I put some glossy accent on the hearts and adhered the panel on a cardstock base.

I think the card turned out very sweet! I hope you like it too? See you soon!

Create a smile challenge – use Kraft

Hi everyone! It’s Sunday, cardday today 🙂

I want to share the card I made for the Create a smile challenge with you. This time we had to use Kraft cardstock in our project.

I started with taking a scrap piece of Kraft cardstock that, by coincedence, had the right size to use on a cardbase. I took my white gelpen and a ruler and drew a stitched line around the border of the card at 0,5 cm.

After that I stamped my snowman with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Wow opaque bright white super fine embossingpoweder.

Then I colored the stamp with Derwent Colorsoft pencils. I stamped the same image on masking paper, cut it out and placed it on the colored stamp on my card.

I placed a stencil of Poppystamps on my card and used Tumbled glass distress oxide ink to add the bubbles. Then I took a scrap of vellum and cut it in the right size to stamp the sentiment on it with Versamark ink. I heat embossed it with Wow opaque bright white super fine embossing powder and attached it to the card with a split-pin.

To finish the card I took some regular white cardstock to make the cardbase and I covered the border also with tumbled glass distress oxide ink. I adhered the card to the cardbase and ready!

I hope you like my card for the challenge and see you soon!

One card, two challenges!

Hi everyone! Usually I post on my blog on Sunday but when I had time to make a lot of cards, it can be sooner as well, like today 🙂

I wanted to play along in the Lawn Fawn challenge – happy little critters and made a card for it.

For the Simon Says stamp wednesdaychallenge, you had to make a card with a matching envelope. So I did and this card was ready to enter two challenges with!

I started with making a cardbase out of Neenah 80 lbs cardstock. Because I don’t have patterned paper with a wooden look, I decided to make it myself. I used Vintage photo distress ink to color the front of the card brown. With a E35 copic marker I drew the lines to give it a wooden look. Then I used the Lawn Fawn Lift the flap cirkels to die cut the flap of the card.

With a pencil I carefully drew a light line along the inside of the flap to see on the back of the cardbase where it exactely was. I used 4 colors of distress ink to color the water: tumbled glass, mermaid lagoon, salty ocean and peacock feathers. For the sand I used tea dye.

I stamped my critters and plants with Memento Tuxedo black ink on Neenah 80 lbs paper and colored them with copic markers. After fussycutting them, I placed them in the opening of the flap. When everything was on the right place I adhered them on the card.

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment on the inside of the flap with Versafine Clair Nocturne. I putted doublesided tape on the inside borders of the card so the cardbase was closed. I made another cardbase with Neenah 80 lbs and adhered the card on to it.

The envelope I used is a regular envelope. I stamped the submarine and hearts on to it with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored it with copic markers. To prevent bleeding, I’ve put a piece of scarp cardstock in the envelope that could pick up the excess of ink.

It was a fun card to make and it turned out just the way I wanted 🙂 I hope you like my creation as much as I do and see you soon!

Shimmer powder and glimmer paste combo card

Hi everyone! It’s Sunday again, so time to share a new card that I made.

One of the new years resolutions that I made for this year, was that I want to send people that I care for more cards than just for their birthday or for Christmas. So I started out with this thank you card to tell someone how thankful I am to have her in my life.

The idea for this card came by watching this video, where Mindy Eggen shows two ideas for beautiful cards made with Nuvo shimmer powder and Nuvo glimmer paste. I made a card like the second one in the video.

You can see in the video how you can create the beautiful, sparkly background of this card. When it was all dry I die cutted a post stamp formed piece out of it and adhered it on my cardbase.

I’ve die cut the thank you words out of fun foam and the vellum background with a die set from Poppystamps. I glued them together and then adhered it on the background.

For the finishing touch I used some Nuvo white blizzard glitter drops.

This was my card for today. I hope you like it just as much as I do! See you soon!

Snowmen card

Hi everyone! Today I want to share this adorable snowmen card with you.

I used the “Easy – breezy” stampset from Create a Smile stamps. First I stamped the snowmen on Neenah (80 lbs) paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and put them aside.

Then I used some regular white cardstock to make a cardbase (21 cm on 14,8 cm, folded double). After that I cut a piece of Neenah paper a little bit smaller than the cardbase.

I took a scrap piece of regular white cardstock (a little bit longer than the piece of Neenah paper) and tore off 2 strips with a different hight so I could make layers of snow with them.
I layed the highest strip on the piece of Neenah paper and made a little mark with a pencil to show how far I would have to go with the ink blending.

For the background I used 4 colors of distress ink: tumbled glass, broken china, faded jeans and chipped sapphire, that I blended toghether. Starting with the darkest color on top of the paper. I put the background aside to dry and colored the snowmen with copic markers.

After I’ve fussycut the snowmen, I prepared my background for some heatembossing with some kitchen flour and a brush. I placed the background on my stampingtool, possitioned the sentiment and stamped it with Versamark ink. I used Wow Opaque bright White super fine embossingpowder.

Then I adhered the strips of white cardstock on the backgrounpanel, positioned the 3 snowmen a little bit behind the snow and adhered them.
I adhered the other snowman with some foamsquares on top of the snow. Because the snowstrips were too long, I cut them even with the backgroundpanel.

To finish the card I used some Wink of Stella to add some sparkle on the hats of the snowmen and on the top of the snow. With a white gelpen I putted dots in the sky and I used some glossy accent to give some dimension on their noses.

All that was left to do, was to adhere the panel on the cardbase.

It was a fun and easy card to make. I hope you like it and see you soon!

First card of 2019

Hi everyone! Today is the first day of 2019 and we’re having a quiet day ahead. Ideal to sit down and make some cards 🙂

This year I want to participate in card making challenges as much as possible. I especially like to do colorchallenges for now. I’m starting with the My favorite things color challenge 108.

This is the card that I made:
